Young children lack an understanding of the concept of time and may wake up significantly earlier than expected, which can disrupt the entire household. When this occurs, traditional methods of simply putting them back to bed can be ineffective as they are already alert and thinking about breakfast.

The Sleep Trainer app offers a solution designed to help children understand when it is appropriate to rise. By setting a specific timer at bedtime, parents can utilize the app to indicate sleep times and wake times.

During designated sleep hours, the app displays a calming blue scene, signaling to children that it is time for rest. As morning approaches, this scene transitions to green, clearly informing youngsters that it is now acceptable to get out of bed.

My personal experience with the Sleep Trainer app has been transformative. As a parent of twins aged three, I faced frequent early morning disturbances—often as early as 4 a.m.—that were exhausting. Realizing that young children do not comprehend the passage of time led me to develop this app as a tool to guide my children on when to seek parental attention for playtime.
